Front Grill Removal ??? Empty Front Grill Removal ???

Post by Panther Wed Oct 04, 2023 3:58 pm

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has removed the Front Grill on their Sebring MX ??? I've looked and saw a few phillips head screws but when I looked further and messed with it I noticed that
it seems very flimsy and I'm thinking "Plastic" ??? The Previous Owner told me they are very
hard to find if at all so I'm very spooky about messing with it without checking on here.

I am wanting to see about removing a pusher fan (which has some issues)
from the Front of the Radiator without having to remove the radiator/shroud/mechanical
aftermarket Flex Fan.

Thanks and Take Care,
Craig

Craig. My grill surround was flimsy as far as how it was attached as well. Little metal strips riveted at the top and lose and floppy at the bottom. I used a large zip tie to secure the bottom. If I were to remove that thing I d have to drill a couple rivets.

I'll have you know that grill is genuine, real chrome plastic.
Real easy to remove WITHOUT drilling any rivets.
The grill is plastic and does flex easily.
Really easy to remove once you've done it.

Reach your fingers in the bottom section and find the clips by feel or use a mirror. There are two.
Lift/flex the clips up until they disengage from the body and pull the bottom of the grill towards you.
It will then drop down and release the top clips.
The second time you do this will take about 5 seconds.
Don't do this in public because you don't want anyone else to know how easy it is.

EDIT: Just took the grill out and it took 15 seconds.
Seems i forgot there are 3 clips on the bottom - not 2.
Ooops...sorry

WOWSER That's Too Cool Thanks Jerry !!!

That's great to know about the Real Plastic Chrome ;-)
It kind of spooked me when I touched it and it flexed.

I'll have to give that a try Thanks !!!

Take Care,
Craig

NO, NO ,NO Craig.
It's ""Real-Chrome-Plastic"" not "real plastic chrome" - and tap on it when you're telling people.
Gets a laugh every time.
