Morning, still chipping away at the build, but summer, holidays and other priorities got in the way. So now getting back into the build. I'm having a tough time looking for the following items; any advice, suggestions etc GREATLY appreciated.

Fuel tank sending unit 0 - 90 ohms for 78 - 82 Chevette Fuel tank. Gauge is for Chev. Engine in car will be 89 Mustang 302 HO

Hood Hinges - manual says to use Mustang II, but are the others which would fit?

Door handles, latches and sticker - manual calls for 76 - 88 Chevette.

We've decided to not run power steering or A/C on the car, it looks as though we can use an A/C eliminator kit and new pulleys, belt size to make this work. There is mention of also adding on a smog eliminator billet? any thoughts on if someone else has done this.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Mark & Gavin

VDO lists a sender for the GM gauge resistance, but it is a universal fit. You would need the mounting flange off of a GM sender to make it work. Pretty much all GM senders used the same mounting flange. You may even be able to get a sender from some GM car other than a Chevette and cut it down to fit.

hood hinges Empty Hood hinge substitution

Hi Mark, Gavin,  I am renovating an old Sebring. I have picked up a set of Fox Mustang hood hinges. Although I have not installed them yet, they look like they should work fine.
Of course, Pinto or Bobcat hinges are the same as the MustangII.

Just an update:  The FOX Mustang hood hinges work fine with a 1/2 inch shim between them and the hood underside.  The boot rubbers for the FOX hinges are also available, but they need a little trimming across the top to get the hinges up as high as possible.
