Sebring MX5000

Curious, does anyone now or have a rough idea as to how many Sebring MX5000 kits were produced before the company went out of business? I ask as mine has etched into the frame the letters MX and the number 415

That question has been brought up a lot. So far it's hard to tell without anyone having access to the factory logs. We have to keep in mind that CR was the biggest kit-car manufacturer at one time. So my guess would be easily over a thousand.

Curious...where is it etched into the frame?

My number was stamped into the outside of the frame just forward of the firewall.  About halfway between the crossmember and firewall. Mine was not visible with the inner fender in place.

Forgot to add that it was on the driver's side.

Yep, sorry for the delay responding. Mine is stamped into the drivers side frame back from the shock tower. Shows the number MX then the number, not sure what that means, if its build #, fabricator ID or? There doesn't appear to be any correlation between the number and the vin tag which came with the kit....will try and look into it further.
