BN4LS75906 Carburetor Leak Empty BN4LS75906 Carburetor Leak

Post by robert.frey51@outlook.com Wed Nov 06, 2024 9:35 am

Good morning all!

I started my 100-6 yesterday morning after letting it sit for a couple of months in order to give it the once over before parking for the winter. Once pressure built up on the fuel system it started with ease. The problem is that the carburetor closest to the fire wall leaked.

I shut the car off and started to investigate. When I turned the ignition on to pressurize the fuel system again the carb leaked. It seems to be coming from the bottom of the diaphragm casing. I removed the carburetor and checked the four screws securing the float chamber and found them to be secure. I'm pretty sure the leak is coming from the mating surface between the diaphragm casing and the float chamber.

When I searched for replacement parts / rebuild kits this morning I can't find anything that shows a gasket between those two components. Can anyone provide me any insight into this?
