Tire Size on a Saxon?
I looks like I should replace the skins on my newly acquired Saxon. It has older 165/80R15's on it now. It that the ideal size? Are you Saxon owners running anything else?
Thanks Again

Yes, that's the original width tire on the 60s cars in current metric sizes. The 80-aspect ratio seems a little high but has more flex for a smoother ride. If you want a little better cornering, you can go to 165-70 and not sacrifice much comfort. Kinda depends on what kind of driving you want to do. Assuming you have 5" wide wheels, i'd probably go with 175-70-15. A little more grip, but still has side wall flex and not too big to hydroplane much. Make sure to check your speedometer accuracy when you're done.
This guy really knows his stuff and frequents the Jag blob i'm on. Good info, but the freight might kill you.

Moss motors has some as does Coker Tires.
Also, you'll have to adjust your tire pressure with our light cars. I run 20psi on my 215/60-15.
