Brake help! Empty Brake help!

Post by David V. Tue Jul 16, 2019 2:54 pm

Hey guys, an odd request, but could someone post a few pictures of their mustang II front calipers mounted on the car. More specifically, of the back of the caliper where the bleeder screw comes out, and of where their brake lines exit the frame and enter the caliper?

I have a sneaking suspicion that the previous owner mounted the right caliper on the left side and vice-versa, then routed his brake lines based on that. Ordered a new front right caliper and ended up having two of the same ones. If I swap the right caliper to the left side the bleeder position makes more sense, but the lines are all wrong. Can't get into engine tuning until I sort this out and get the car back on the ground.

Thanks ever so much!

Brake help! Empty Mustang II Right Front End

Post by engdriver Tue Jul 16, 2019 8:35 pm

Hey David, I've got a 1990 MX with late 80s? Mustang II front end. The attached pics show where the mont right brake line leaves the chassis just forward of the "A" frame, hose loops around to the caliper, bleeder faces the rear. Hope this helps- Jon G

Hey Jon, thank you so much! Unfortunately I can't see the image you posted, something wrong with the BB code you entered I would think.

Cheers!!
