Hardtop fixing clips and rear windscreen.
I finally managed to secure a hardtop for my AH Sebring, needs to have rear window glazed. Lexan is material of choice, can anyone suggest a good source? I am located in New York, top is currently in Buffalo and will be heading down to New York City soon. Also looking for fixing details, the top is basic unfinished (apart from gel coat red) and have arranged for headliner, apart from that need fixing clips, rubber seals etc to install on car.

Hi David,
I've been looking for a hard top, where did you find yours? Where do you suggest I look? I tried Sebring forums, Cobra forums, Craigslist and Ebay.

Hi
Took me a year to find a fiberglass shell.....I was given a lead of a guy in Cleveland that owned two. He wanted to keep one, he finally agreed to let me buy the other. I picked it up and drove it down to New York, its in the shop at Netcong Auto Restorations now waiting to be fitted.
I came across a great site in UK....Cape International...Steve was very helpful in sorting out holding down clips, rear windscreen and seals. Car is in storage now until February when hopefully the top will be prepared and fitted on the car.
I have no idea how you can find one, as I said it took me a year to find one, good luck.

I still have to fit mine. I have the clips but i'm not sure I trust it to hold just with those. I might make an extra brace like on the original rally healeys, maybe to attach to the roll-bar as well. I've been told that the front attachment point (at the windshield) isn't too sturdy and tends to lift up at highway speeds. Will have to sort something for that as well.

@BayouBill This guy (who's on the yahoo group) had one about 3 years ago when I was looking for mine. I think it was red. I turned it down because he's in south Carolina and shipping costs to Canada were more than what he wanted for the top. It had no window no hardware, scratches on the gelcoat. He was asking 500$ if I recall which was quite fair. You might want to try contacting him. No idea if he still has it. I will send you his e-mail by personal message
I ended up finding one up here in the maritimes that was the exact same colour gel-coat as my car. Can't wait to fit it. Been in the works for 2 years but engine issues keep taking priority.

I found a hardtop shell for sell, no glass or head liner or clips and not painted for $2,000. Seems too expensive to me ...

Yeah that's a bit expensive... They were 3000$ new with everything included. Depends how much of a hurry you're in to get one. They are quite hard to come by so if you have the means go for it. Otherwise I'd either try to negotiate the price down or wait for the right one to come along (which could take a few years). I passed up two of them before finding mine (mainly because they were 1000$ but would have cost me an extra $800+ to ship over here to Canada). I also found one that matched my car which helped a lot. Very lucky when I think about it.

Here is a complete body for $1950 with the hard top. It might even have the original style hood.
