Hood Scoop Trim?
Th Sebring I am likely to purchase has the a hood with a scoop but no scoop trim. I've searched on her and haven't found any answers as to a source for one other than the suggestion that an OEM part might fit like from Moss Motors who stocks the grill and trim. Has anyone tied to make an OEM fit?
Thanks

Re: Hood Scoop Trim?
I tried the Moss Motors part and it didn't fit very well, unfortunately. It may be that it's a poor reproduction and wouldn't fit an original hood either. It's very common for offshore reproductions to be poorly made for other cars, too.
I will probably look for a reasonably priced original part on EBAY, before making one. I will report back when I get to that part of my build.

Can you tell me is it was to long or to tall etc. Also did you try to fit the trim piece on too and if so how far off was it? Thanks

Re: Hood Scoop Trim?
In my playing around with the scooped hoods I have found the moss bits to vary slightly. They will fit but you need to fill in the three indents at the front of the intake and Redhill for the studs on the moss bits. I have two original cast aluminum ones from Classic Roadsters but they are not very well made castings.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

You could use adhesive instead of bolts. Then no mods to the hood.

Hasn't moved in nearly 28+ years so I guess it was sticky enough.
