Computer change, banner issue with wide screens, and consideration of storage solutions. Empty Computer change, banner issue with wide screens, and consideration of storage solutions.

A notice to all members, I have recently changed my primary computer. Now that I have a 17'' screen, I have noticed that the main banner atop the website has been formatted incorrectly so as to repeat itself on the right hand side when viewed on a wide screen. I will remedy to this issue shortly as soon as I finish configuring my new system. If anyone has noticed any other irregularities I would ask you to please let me know by posting in the feedback section, as I may not be able to see them depending on my computer or browser and wish to optimize the site for a wide array of users.

Additionally, I am currently investigating two possible improvements to the site

1) Ways of adding third party storage or increasing current storage As you may already know, site storage is unlimited for forum posts and topics as well as the messages and images they contain. The only limit to storage is for the forum image gallery, and the document attachments for which we possess 20mb. We have currently used about 1/3 of the space allotted. More space could be purchased but I am looking into free options first, as I wish to eventually migrate all the documents, build manuals, and brochures present on the old yahoo group site to the database section of our site.

2) Updating the mailing/follow topic system Users currently have the option of subscribing to topics or categories to receive emails notifying them whenever they are updated. I wish to configure these e-mails so that they display what has been added instead of simply notifying about an update. A better knowledge of html code is needed before I can tackle this, so if anyone is knowledgeable in the subject, please let me know.

If you have ideas for further improvements to the site please post in the feedback section Smile

Sincerely

David, AHR Forum Admin
