Foot Box Fresh Air Vents??
Have any of you fabricated fresh air vents for the foot boxes or cabin??
My car has lots of sound deadening insulation so it's not too hot but adjustable fresh air vents would certainly be welcomed!!
Thanks in advance!
Jack

Hey Jack, I have vents in the inner sides of the console kick panels (right over the tranny tunnel) that draw air from the heater unit (whether it be heated or not) on both driver and passenger sides. I also have a fresh air vent under the dash on the passenger side that runs to the front near a grill opening, it can be opened or closed at will.

Hey Jack, it was a bit hard to photograph the vent, but I did my best. It's only on the passenger side and I doubt it would work on the driver's so I don't know how much use it is to you, but here it is:
For starters the air comes in by the green scoop mounted inside the grill opening near the radiator bracket.

It runs along a flexible tube hidden along the hood opening and enters the firewall. From there it connects to the non-thermally controlled area of the heater box.

And then comes directly out onto the passenger's knees through a vent that is controlled by the opening and closing of a flap.

It doesn't look like there is too much room under there, but believe me when I say I've never hit my knees on it
Cheers

Thanks David.....
I was thinking maybe a 2" tube to the kick panels on each side??
May have to research it a little more!!

Like I said, I also have 2 1'' and a half tubes that come out of the console kick panels, but they run through the heater and work for both heated air and air brought in by the blower motor, not natural fresh air circulation.
