So, your car was delivered with that outer skin?
Joe,
If you look closely that is not a Sebring. The early Saxons came with a door molded like that with the oval recess. I unfortunately do not have that mold. I wish someone on here that has a Saxon could send me a set of doors so I can make a new mold. Or just maybe soon there will be something new coming down the pike! Teaser.

Consider me "teased" ... that said, I live in Vermont, land of the deep freeze till mid-May. I'm a patient man, as long as you don't tease me That long

Re: Saxon vs Sebring MX
Hotrod or Jerry would know if the hoods (bonnets) are the same on the three versions (Saxon, Sebring, and MX).
My gut tells me, yes. I believe the difference among the three is the width of the front and rear fenders.
Just understand, I've owned my Saxon a whopping whole two months, driven it maybe 400 miles. Until I bought it, last September, I'd never even heard of CR or these knockoffs.
That said, I'm a huge fan. These cars (at least the ones designed and built by the wiz kids on this site) are infinitely better than the originals. With the right engine and driveline, I believe even Sir Donald would agree.
Sorry for the long-winded, non-answer.

Thanks Joe.
I'd always wondered why they didn't offer a choice of hoods instead of having only the louvered hood available on the flared-fender models and vice versa.

Hello Iotech, the hoods are interchangeable on all three cars to my knowledge. The louvered hood was sold standard with the Sebring kit while the scooped hood was sold standard with the Saxon kit, but was an optional extra on the Sebring (something like 800$ in late 1980s money if I recall).

Hey David, a little off topic but do you foresee returning the member photo galleries? Would be nice to put faces and cars to names and avatars.

David, I agree with MONROB (don't I always). Of course, I have no idea what he's referring to exactly, but I DO know what photos are, and putting cars and faces to us avatars.
Let's do it!

To all hands,
I just sent a PM to David asking him to 'shrink' this oversized photo of my car. Just as I feared, it DOES block my pearls of wit.
I humbly implore everyone to bear with me, I WILL get this fixed

I can confidently confirm that both styles of hood fit all three versions of our cars. The center section of the body mold is standard and only the quarter panels are changeable.
