Does anyone have any idea what it takes (equipment wise) to go SCCA auto-crossing with one of our Sebrings??

I have been casually looking into this as well. Not so much interested in competitive racing as much as using a track, Watkins Glen is only two hours from me, as a safe and legal place to test and tune. Some form of solo track day. I get the sense that everyplace requires a roll bar. There may not be space available in my MX for a bar in as much as I am working on a fold away top to replace our current system.

Anyone know of special circumstances where one could sign a waiver and pay to use the track a solo event day??

solo and track days are way different animals. The requirements for track racing take about 30 pages per class in the scca rulebook. local clubs do sponsor "test and tune" days, where there is no competition, but you get access to the site for testing. i can solo my car pretty much "as is" but a roll cage and many other safety mods are required before i can run a track day. Both require inspections.

That's good to hear. I am guessing my next move is to reach out to the track for more info.

If you would like to drive your street car on a race track in a controlled environment, then you should consider entering in a SCCA PDX(like a track day). Here are the details of our PDX at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, MI.
GingerMan Raceway in South Haven(very safe track with lots of runoff)
May 22
3-25 minute sessions
Safe street car with seat belts
Helmet
$125
