Out for a drive to use up some gas. Filled it in the cold and today was warm enough for expansion to the over flow. Great drive on country roads until a rock from a dump truck going the other way hit the windshield. Didn’t crack it but made a large chip crater thing.

I have an appointment with safelite. Not sure if my Hagarty insurance would cover that.

Anyone happen to know?  I’m planning on just paying for it but taking the insurance policy paperwork with me.

If you need another glass I have one. It's yours if you arrange pickup. I don't think it would survive shipping.

That’s very generous. If I need to replace it I should know tomorrow if they tell me it can’t be fixed. I’ll drive to you if that happens. Mississippi, right?

Not quite. Louisiana, but close enough to be in Mississippi. Where in Texas were you again? I will be in Gonzales, Louisiana Saturday afternoon if that is easier to get to.

I'm afraid if it kicks around my shop for very long it will get broke. Might as well give it to someone that has need of it before that happens.

I’m in northwest Florida near Pensacola. I’ll shoot you a message after I see how it goes with safelite tomorrow

So, Safelite did good. I shouldn’t need to replace the shield this time. Still can see slight damage but it’s 80-90% better looking
