Windshield glass Empty Windshield glass

Post by Chuck Sun Dec 11, 2016 3:23 pm

I just got my Saxon, which was registered in Rhode Island. i don't know how the guy got away with it, but it was registered as a "1997 Classic" using the Classic Roadsters VIN. My state (NY) won't go along with that and insist that it be re-registered as a custom vehicle. As part of the inspection process, they need to see a DOT number on the windshield glass. I don't see any numbers on the glass. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks-
Chuck

There's this on the quarter window glass. Not sure if it's on the windshield or not. Will check next time I see my car.

Since the windshield is completely flat, it is very likely it was cut from the same sheet as the sideglass.
