Claybar on Gelcoat?

Post by David V. on Tue Aug 16, 2016 10:34 pm

Has anyone ever tried using a clay bar on gel coat as one does with paint? Gelcoat is much more rigid than paint so I wouldn't imagine it would have as much of an effect but who knows? cheers Thoughts?

I have used the clay bar on my regular paint works great!
I believe there use is not to polish the paint but pull the dirt
that embeds its self onto the paint. You call feel it if you run
your hand lightly over your car. I do not see why it would not
work as well on gel coats.
